Coping with Larger, More Interconnected and Complex Risks
Hosted by VIG
Insurers have to adjust to a rapidly changing risk landscape: inflation has made a surprise comeback, the era of ‘cheap money’ is over and the physical and non-physical risks the industry is covering are growing in magnitude and complexity. These shifts come with both challenges and opportunities in terms of insurers’ relevance, profitability and solvency.
How will the macroeconomic risk landscape evolve? To what extent do the current cost-of-living crisis and the accelerating pace of global warming change the insurance-specific dynamics of ESG? What will future insurance business models look like as the nature of risk changes and quantum leaps in data availability and analytics reshape the entire insurance value chain? These and other relevant questions will be discussed at GAEF 2023.
